Summer just got a whole lot cooler. This 3-ingredient sorbet will refresh and soothe on the hottest days with the natural sweetness of cherries and white grape juice!
There’s no need to buy boxed frozen treats when you can have this icy treat on hand whenever a craving strikes. Best of all, it’s full of antioxidants and sweetened with fruit juice instead of table sugar, for a cooling treat that’s healthy to boot!
Green tea sneaks in antioxidant goodness to fight free-radicals and support healthy digestion. Green tea provides sustained, jitter-free energy. The crystal form of this tea blends into the sorbet effortlessly, no steeping required.
Cherries are an excellent source of antioxidants, helping to reduce oxidative damage and support muscle recovery after exercise. This small but mighty fruit may also help support a healthy sleep cycle, being one of the only foods that contain the sleep hormone melatonin.
Cherries are plentiful during the summer season, but if you don’t want the mess and hassle of pitting cherries, have no fear, they’re available in the frozen fruit section of most grocery stores.
Using already frozen cherries cuts the freeze time of the sorbet. This is also true with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Really any frozen fruit can be turned into sorbet once you know how it’s done.
White grape juice steps in for sugar, adding a sweetness that complements the tartness of cherries. Look for %100 white grape juice with no added sweetener.
Tip: This sorbet is best made the same day you plan to enjoy it so it can be served as soon as it’s firm, but not frozen solid. If you do freeze it for an extended time, just thaw the sorbet at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before scooping.
