Its flavor is earthy and bitter, making this type of mushroom best suited for powder and supplement form. You may not think of cashews when making a latte, but this skinless nut is ideal for blending into a creamy dairy-free drink, complete with frothy top. Cashews are a great stand-in to make coffee and tea creamy without the digestive upset that lactose milk can cause. Cashews also contain healthy fats and a dose of protein that help keep you feeling full.


  • This latte is naturally sweetened with monkfruit from the Reishi Calm Elixir, but raw honey can also be added.
  • Cashews can be soaked in water for up to 8 hours before blending to remove phytic acid and make them easier to digest.
  • If you find that the cashews are still too grainy after blending, run the mixture through a strainer and into a pitcher before serving to remove cashew pulp.
  • This latte can be refrigerated for up to 2 days and reheated on the stovetop before enjoying.

  • 1 cup raw unsalted cashews
  • 2 cups steaming hot filtered water
  • 3 packets Reishi calm elixir


  • Combine Reishi with all other ingredients in blender and blend on high speed until creamy. Pour into 2–8 ounce mugs. Enjoy hot!
