Passionfruit Green Tea Lemonade

This tropical smoothie is refreshing and hydrating with antioxidants and a jitter-free source of caffeine!

Passionfruit green tea is full of antioxidants that help fight free radical damage and support a healthy immune system. Catechins in green tea promote a healthy gut microbiome. The tea crystals dissolve effortlessly without any steeping, adding tropical aroma and flavor with the light hints of green tea. Japanese sencha green tea provides the backbone for this tea blend.

Green tea also increases satiety to keep hunger at bay and support healthy weight loss. EGCG catechins in green tea help support collagen production for healthy, radiant skin. The caffeine in passionfruit green tea provides a calm, focused energy. Enjoy this green tea lemonade in the morning or early afternoon.

Fresh squeezed lemon juice adds tart flavor and plenty of vitamin C. Lemons are great for supporting the immune system, kidney health, and healthy digestion. A touch of sweetness from agave nectar balances the tartness of lemon juice. Agave nectar is a great natural sweetener that blends easily in cold beverages.

Passionfruit pulp is the tart, sweet jelly-like center of the passionfruit. It contains small edible seeds that add texture to the lemonade. The crunchy seeds supply fiber and vitamin A. Passionfruit is full of potassium, a mineral that plays a crucial role in supporting cardiovascular health. Fresh passion fruit can be hard to find in grocery stores, but luckily the edible pulp is available online or in specialty grocery stores.

This lemonade can be made ahead of time in a large batch and refrigerated until serving.
