Cinnamon Fasting Tea Banana Nut Smoothie Main

This lightly sweetened smoothie is full of creamy texture and makes a great hunger tamer any time of day – with flavors of banana, cinnamon and almond butter in each sip!

If you love the ripe banana flavor of banana nut bread, then this is the smoothie for you. Frozen banana adds sweetness, creamy thick texture and cools the smoothie without the need for ice. This filling smoothie is perfect for breakfast or any time hunger strikes. Smoothies are great for on-the-go, not to mention an easy way to pack in lots of nutrition in one glass.

Tip: buy bananas a few days in advance so they have time to ripen. You want bananas to have spots on the peel before freezing for the sweetest flavor.

Cinnamon Fasting Tea Banana Nut Smoothie Process

Go Bananas

Bananas are a staple in breakfast recipes, and for good reason. They add a dose of fiber and potassium for a great start to the day. Whether you bake them into breads or muffins, blend into smoothies or enjoy them by themselves, they’re a convenient breakfast item to have on hand.

Satiating Cinnamon

What sets this smoothie apart from the rest is the addition of cinnamon fasting tea. Cinnamon helps increase satiety. You’ll also notice notes of spearmint and bergamot, both of which add a burst of soothing freshness. Other spices to add to this smoothie for more spice flavor include: ground ginger, ground cloves and nutmeg.

A Little Nutty

Almond butter adds the nutty flavor you’d expect from banana nut bread along with healthy fats to help you feel full. Other nut butters like cashew or hazelnut can be used as well. Look for natural almond butter without any added sweeteners.

To keep the smoothie dairy-free, unsweetened almond milk is used, helping to combine all the ingredients and add volume without extra sugar.

  1. I created another great smoothie recipe using the cinnamon fasting tea. I call it my Horchata Smoothie. Blend these ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    1 cup frozen riced cauliflower
    1 frozen banana, quartered
    1 sachet cinnamon fasting tea
